EOS is a growing business operating in global markets at leading edge of technology innovation and product commercialisation, specialising in the defence and space sectors.Job DescriptionAbout the positionThe Optical Technician role is a key member of the optical manufacturing team responsible for the manufacture, testing and assembly of optical components such as lens, mirrors, flats and prisms.You will be responsible for:Fabricating various optical componentsReviewing project specifications, requirements and drawings.Ensuring specifications are met and confirmed through test and measurement.Designing and making tooling for the manufacture of optical componentsAssisting in the alignment, assembly, integration and testing of opto-mechanical assembliesMaintaining local records (workbooks) of manufacturing activities in accordance with KiwiStar standard practice.Generating formal reports and records.Contributing to continuous improvement initiativesDesired Skills and ExperienceAbout YouAs an experienced Optical Technician, you will have care and diligence with an attention to detail. Good teamwork and respect for team members will be a key attribute. You have good communication and influencing skills.
