Job Description

The key purpose of this role is to work closely with and under the supervision of qualified teachers and the Head of Learning Services to provide support for students in Prep to Year 12. The incumbent is expected to interact with students, assist in the implementation of the learning program, provide general administrative support to the teachers, undertake general housekeeping tasks, and contribute to the wellbeing of students and the effective operations of the School.This is a 12 month fixed term on a 1.0 load, commencing for Term 3 to cover a parental leave within the Senior School.The successful applicant will:Post-secondary qualifications in (e.g. Certificate III in Language and Literacy Aide, Education Support, Integration Aide, Teachers Aide or similar)Tertiary qualifications in teaching (early childhood and/or primary and/or secondary) is well regarded, but not essentialAnaphylaxis Management trainingMust hold an Employee Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain this prior to commencementLevel II First Aid Certificate is well regardedNational Police History Check (Obtained within the last 6 months)St Michaels Grammar School is one of the leading co-educational, independent schools in Australia, providing exceptional learning opportunities to students from Kindergarten to Year 12.The School is respected for its exceptional education, wellbeing programs, and a deep commitment to innovative approaches to teaching, learning, and caring.
