You will be responsible for coordinating casual, permanent pool and agency staff to fill vacant nursing & ward clerk shifts for Epworth Health. You will be part of our Central Resource Unit (CRU) and report to the CRU Manager.The role consists of morning, afternoon and weekend work. We also operate on Public Holidays and the successful candidate may be required to work on such days.You will make an impact by:Coordinating casual staffing to ensure shifts are filled in a timely manner to support the safe running of our wards and departmentsLiaising with clinical staff and hospital coordinators regarding staffing requirementsLiaising with casual and permanent pool CRU staff regarding availability and bookingsLiaising with external agencies when unable to fill vacant shifts with CRU staffManagement of the electronic casual staffing systems (Shift match & MyRoster) including setting up and educating new staff on how to use the systemsProviding administration support to the Central Resource Unit ManagerTo be successful in this roleComfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team, you are a natural communicator with strong customer service and negotiation skills to build effective working relationships with your team, colleagues and key stakeholders. You have excellent time management and attention to detail, with the ability to think outside the box to problem-solve.
