Its about impact, not location.#LI-RemoteAn APAC Training Manager is responsible for developing, leading and delivering educational strategy both in-person and digitally across the globe to our residential and professional partner audiences. This role will act as both an educator and a leader within the market. This role will also manage agency labor across multiple countries in region with the potential for internal employees over time. Members of the Sonos Global Education Team embody all of Sonos behaviors: Respect, Collaboration, Transparency, and Ownership.What Youll Do:Drive educational engagement with both retail and professional audiences in the APAC market.Present engaging educational content verbally to both small and large audiences in a variety of formats. These formats include in-person events and meetings, live and pre-recorded webinars, on-camera video training, and live trade show events.Manage the educational onboarding of new Sonos partners, to establish them as high quality and motivated partners. This includes residential/commercial installers and distributors.Travel to multiple countries within Asia and Australia to conduct training events.Be responsible for agency and third-party labor management within the region. This includes team meetings, performance reviews, team strategy, as well as team budget and contracts.In collaboration with the Professional and Retail Account Management team, ensure that all existing partners are educated on product and software updates throughout the year, reinforcing brand trust.Lead in educating on key Sonos projects and product launches.Provide guidance in the creation of educational content such as Google Slides / PowerPoint presentations, on-demand learning modules, video and presentation scripts, on-camera training videos.Speak the operating languages of the audiences we connect with: Professional residential/commercial audio-video installation, retail consumer electronics, and more.Navigate and deploy different communications styles dependent on the audience.Work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment that requires flexibility and compassion for both partners and internal teams.Collaborate remotely and in-person to innovate how the Sonos Global Education Team connects with our audiences to make our training activities the most enjoyable and fulfilling educational experiences in the industry.Communicate with our partners outside of training events to answer questions and clarify key topics.Travel globally to educate relevant partner audiences during brand and educational activations.Capture and analyze audience feedback from training activations and communicate actionable insights to relevant teams (product, marketing, etc) during and outside of quarterly business reviews.Keep up with industry trends and technology to ensure that the team is the authority on any topic that complements or competes with Sonos.Continually practice presentational skills to maintain training performance at an elite level.Continue to build on the legacy of best in class training moments that Sonos has delivered over the last 10+ years.What Youll Need:Basic Qualifications3-5+ years of people leadership experienceDemonstrated experience, and success with enthusiastic public speaking and on-camera presentationsEffective experience in the residential and commercial audio-video industry.Effective experience in communicating knowledge to othersDemonstrated ability to lead projects from incubation to completionLanguage fluency in EnglishThe ability to travel throughout Asia and Australia, for in-person training events on a monthly basis, with visits to North America or Europe at least twice a year.Preferred Qualifications5+ years of experience in the technical education fieldExperience in audio video retail, installation, or designTraining certifications from CEDIA, AVIXA, and the NAHBProficiency in writing in a clear and conversational styleHumility to identify opportunities in oneself and the teamA passion for consumer and professional electronicsExperience collaborating with teammates and cross-functional teamsProficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Google SlidesProficiency in Adobe Suite, specifically Adobe PremiereA curiosity to learn new skills and a dedication to master those skills.Highly organized and able to deliver multiple projects at the same time.Additional language fluency in Japanese, Mandarin, HindiA love of the music and home theater experiencesResearch shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often don''t apply for roles if they don''t meet all the criteria.
