WELDING COLLEGE STUDENTS ENCOURAGED TO APPLY!!!!Southeastern Tool & Die, a family owned manufacturer located in Aberdeen, NC, has immediate full time opportunities for experienced welders. This position requires a mechanically inclined, safety conscious individual with strong attention to detail.REQUIRED:High school diploma or GED.Associates Degree, welding apprenticeship and/or certificate.1 year of MIG welding experience.Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge including blueprint reading, mechanical aptitude and knowledge of metals and fabrication, use of hand tools such as grinders and cut off tools.Strong verbal and written communication.Must be able to work overtime.QUALIFICATIONS:Must be a dependable, self-starter with high attention to detail.Have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn.Problem solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment.Ability to follow instructions & work independently.RESPONSIBILITIES:Follow safe work practices & safety rules at all times.Monitor own work to ensure quality.Must be able to multi-task & plan daily work efficiently.Set up and maintain welding components/equipment to set specifications.Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning with proper compounds and wire brushes to remove impurities.Perform MIG, TIG and other types of welding based project tasks.Check parts, troubleshoot & prepare for part changeovers.Measure equipment with accuracy to meet customer requirements.Record measurements & other information as part of our ISO9001 quality system requirements.Maintain a safe and clean work space.No phone calls or walk-ins please.Pre-employment drug/alcohol testing required.
