Position SummaryProvides janitorial services and general maintenance of warehouse and surrounding grounds. Restocks supplies; operatesgarbage compactor and cardboard baler. Periodically paints and performs routine maintenance throughout thewarehouse. Purchases supplies needed for projects. Follows proper safety and security procedures and standards.Provides prompt and courteous member service.Job Duties/Essential FunctionsCleans warehouse floors, offices, break rooms, and restrooms.Follows departmental standards for cleanliness and performance of duties.Restocks supplies.Empties trash from designated areas throughout the warehouse.Pulls merchandise slip sheets and loose cardboard from sales floor.Operates garbage compactor and cardboard baler.Checks daily schedule for assigned routine tasks and maintenance repair jobs.Paints, replaces bulbs, maintains equipment, and performs routine repairs throughout the warehouse.Assists with installing and repairing building displays and fixtures.Purchases supplies and parts needed for projects.Maintains grounds outside warehouse including blowing leaves, picking up litter and building maintenance.Follows proper maintenance and general safety and security procedures, wearing safety goggles when usingcompactor and baler and product disposal.Responds quickly to and cleans up spills.Assists in other areas of the warehouse as necessary.Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and vendors.QualificationsEducation/Training: Higher School Certificate or higher.Licenses/Certifications: None.Experience/Skills: Janitor, maintenance or comparable experience; problem solving and critical thinking; strong attention to detail.Other specific requirementsMust be available to work a rotating roster and weekends.Job Ref: AU2827W.000351Location: Melbourne - NorthSubmitted: 07-04-2025 #J-18808-Ljbffr
