As the Senior Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for compiling estimates and quote responses that are accurate, complete, and delivered on time. Your work will align with our client''s policies, procedures, and values, providing detailed information and calculations that support their continued success in securing new projects.Your duties may include:Lead the preparation of detailed estimates and timely tender submissions.Ensure all costings reflect a high level of accuracy, including labour, materials, timeframes, and cost structures.Review construction and design documentation to determine accurate project costings.Analyse bid documents to identify risks and opportunities, clearly communicating findings to management.Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes, comparing against internal estimates to determine best value.Recommend cost-saving initiatives and value-add options to enhance bid competitiveness.Assess technical project requirements and provide informed input during bid development.Deliver accurate cost forecasting and tender reporting.Identify, assess, and manage contract risks to ensure obligations are met and project outcomes are achieved.Ensure compliance with all legislative, commercial, and pre-contract requirements throughout the tendering process.Support and mentor the estimating team, sharing technical expertise, industry insights, and innovative practices to promote continuous development.About YouTo be considered for this role, we''d love for you to have the following:Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.Proven experience in estimating or a similar role within the mining, resources, or construction sectors.Solid understanding of the electrical construction industry, particularly within mining, infrastructure, and resources projects.Strong ability to prioritise tasks and perform effectively under pressure.Excellent time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.High level of computer literacy, particularly in MS Excel and MS Word.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, influence outcomes, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Resilient, self-motivated, and values-driven, with sound judgment, a strong customer focus, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and perform well in a dynamic team environment.About UsIronMerge People is Australia''s leading, majority Indigenous owned labour and recruitment provider.
