Datacom Perth, Western Australia, AustraliaSenior Unified Communications EngineerDatacom Perth, Western Australia, AustraliaNeed to be AU Citizen or have your Permanent Resident VisaOur WhyDatacom works with organisations and communities across Australia and New Zealand to make a difference in people''s lives and help organisations use the power of tech to innovate and grow.About the Role (your why)The Senior Unified Communications Engineer is responsible for providing onsite and offsite IP voice/UC support for our client''s environment and assisting with day-to-day issues and troubleshooting to ensure optimal business operations.This role is based in Perth Australia and will be based at the customer''s premises.What you''ll doPreparing site design documentation for new sites, including specifying equipment and site parameters under supervision.Managing the integration of new sites into the operational network.Monitoring and managing the performance of all or part of the network and performing reconfiguration work as required.Planning and executing large scale network changes.Keeping the Team Leader informed on all design and performance issues within relevant responsibility guidelines.Completing special projects as required, including new technology evaluation tools, development practices and procedures.On-site at a customer''s premises 5 days a week in PerthWhat you''ll bringKnowledge of industry standards and government regulations relevant to data communications / networking.5+ years'' experience in a field related to voice and UC support.Strong knowledge of one or more of the following: Solid skills in Voice and UC Engineering and technologies (Webex) Unity Connection Cisco unified attendant console Cisco - CCNA, CCNP or CCVP, Cisco VCS qualifiedAbility to work closely within a team.Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information across various levels.Ability to work with and contribute to collaborative teams to achieve organisational goals and objectives.Professional or tertiary qualifications in Communications Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.Why join us here at Datacom?Datacom is one of Australia and New Zealand''s largest suppliers of Information Technology professional services.
