We are one of the largest marine vessel operators and service providers in Australia powered by a strong workforce in strategic locations nationwide.Our professional team possess a variety of specialised skill sets required to operate our diverse fleet and deliver a wide range of marine services safely and competently.The OpportunityWere seeking an experienced Operations Manager in Darwin NT, who is a process-driven professional with demonstrated initiative and attention to detail in the maritime sector.Candidates should be flexible in their approach, have excellent time management skills and be able to prioritise and handle the dynamic changes of the industry.Your duties will include but are not limited to:End to End management of job scopes from enquiry, quotation and completion.Assist with Business Unit forecast and budget to ensure financial success.Maintain good client/customer relationships.Account management of Port Service contracts.Ensure all time, budgetary and quality requirements are met.Oversee the running of all Bhagwan Marine operations in the Northern Territory Business Unit.Develop solutions to address gaps in performance and patterns that are predictive of upcoming risks and issues.Drive the development and promote business capabilities of Bhagwan Marine in the Northern Territory.Develop business strategies, objectives and goals for future growth.Effectively manage harmonious relationships between shore-based and marine crew.To be successfully considered for this role you must have:Sound knowledge of maritime operations ranging from Marine Construction, Port Services, Oil and Gas and Coastal Towage.Demonstrated and proven experience in managing vessels greater than 500GRT.Proven experience managing vessels in Class, with OVID and IMCA standards.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Safety-focused work ethic with the ability to drive a safety-focused culture.High attention to detail, information process and problem-solving capabilities.A flexible and adaptable approach to changing demands within the business.An ability to influence behaviour through effective communication and active listening skills.Effective and proven people management skills.Ability to operate with a sense of urgency to complete tasks, prioritise effectively.What Bhagwan Marine Offers:This position comes with an attractive remuneration package, along with the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.
