Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Cleveland Central and The Station Oxley. The ideal candidate will enjoy being part of a small team and be responsible for leading the operation and presentation of the Shopping Centres, ensuring compliance, minimising risk and managing capital works. The Operations Manager will work closely with the Centre Management along with supporting the other members of the broader team as required.About HabenHaben is a privately owned funds and property management business that specialises in unlocking value from retail shopping centres currently located across the East coast of Australia. We are growing rapidly whilst maintaining our personal touch and care both about our community of co-investors and partners, and the communities where our assets are located.About the roleResponsibility for the operation and presentation of the Centre.Assist with operational and capital expenditure budgets.Manage capital works projects and capital planning including assisting with tenancy delivery works.Respond to base building issues and coordinate efficient and effective responses.Manage the supply chain ensuring agreed standards of service delivery are met and the delivery of the service is cost effective.Ensure compliance with government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.Establish and drive improvements to optimise the Centres waste, energy, and water usage.Build and maintain strong relationships with all the key stakeholder groups.Assist the Centre team with administrative tasks where required.About youDemonstrated experience in a similar property operations role.Clear understanding of Building Codes, Australian Standards, OHS/WHS and Legislation, Essential Services of Authority and Statutory Requirements.Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build effective and professional relationships with a range of stakeholders, including senior management, facilities site staff, external service providers and contractors.Problem solving, interpretation and negotiation skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.Customer focus and proactive approach with initiative.Intermediate to advanced level in core Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).High level of commercial acumen and financial management, with proven experience with budgeting and forecasting.Team player with a can-do attitude willing to support the team where needed.Trades knowledge (qualified a bonus) with relevant shopping centre operational experience desirable.This full-time permanent role working within a small team based predominately out of Cleveland Central and also from The Station Oxley where required.
