Construction, Consulting Engineering, Mining & Resources, Property & Advisory, Architecture, and Manufacturing whatever your passion, theres a job here for you!HSE Advisor - Civil - FIFOConstruction > Health & Safety / Environmental / QualityPermanentGladstone & Central QLD, Regional QLDMarket leading and growing national civil contracting business with blue chip clientsChallenging and varied civil projects on mining sites amongst other projectsCan commute locally or most likely FIFO Roster 7:7, excellent pipeline of workGreat opportunity to work with a well-established and reputable civil contractor on projects such as civil, roads, earthworks, demolition, excavation, piling, retention, foundations etc.Our client is a well-established and market leading civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated HSE Officer / HSE Advisor to join their growing business.Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a number of challenging projects.Types of projects include earthworks, roads, demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc. Typical values from $2.5 to $25m but can go up to $50m+.As HSE Officer / HSE Advisor, you will be involved in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety management are carried out across all construction sites. The successful candidate will report into the State Manager for HSEQ as well as working with the site-based Project Managers and management staff.Years of experience:3 to 15yrs +Responsibilities include but are not limited to:At each stage of the projects, assist in identifying and managing high risk activitiesLiaise with design teams and contractors in forward planning for safety and coordination of work activitiesCarry out independent health and safety audits on all aspects of construction managementPlan, develop and implement reporting and communication structures to enable accurate assessment and evaluation of health and safety management performanceAssessment of accident, incident and near miss reporting, evaluating findings and monitoring implementation of any corrective / preventative measuresAttend planning and coordination reviews for day to day and long term safety planning of work activitiesQualifications and Requirements:Ideally a Diploma in Health & Safety or a Cert IV. Training & Assessment would be a bonus3 to 15+ years experience with background in working in construction health & safetyAbility to thrive in high pressure, fast paced environmentWell-developed interpersonal skillsHigh level of organisation and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsIf you have the skills and experience that we are looking for, click on Apply to submit your resume.
