From major rail and road projects to renewable energy developments and defence infrastructure, they offer end-to-end solutions that combine technical excellence with a strong commitment to sustainability.Your new roleLead, plan, direct and control the design and construction of allocated project(s), through assigned Project Managers, to ensure completion in accordance with HSE objectives, client requirements and time and costs constraints to achieve profit objectives.Responsible for the day-to-day management / compliance to the Project Safety & Environment Management Plans (SEMP where relevant)Ensure safety, quality and environment is a consistent agenda item at all workgroup meetings and provide regular feedback to employees and contractorsRegularly review and monitor project costs and take corrective action if significant deviations from budget occur.Act as project sponsor for targeted projects. Contribute to tender submissions. Participate in tender evaluations and negotiation meetings.Maintain a strategic role in client liaison.Pursue existing clients and new customer contactsMaintain and foster regular client relationships / dialogue and market the business and servicesConduct effective and professional negotiation of work with clientsLiaise with project managers and other departments to ensure that resources (equipment, labour & staff) are fully utilised.Resolve both major and day-to-day on-site industrial relations problems and escalate if necessary.Ensure team members understand BU/Project Scope, their part in them and are focused on the development/delivery of their own relevant plansProvide the leadership required to ensure the changes arising from the implementation of new strategies, policies/procedures and initiatives are effectively managedWhat you''ll need to succeedExtensive experience in the engineering and/or construction industry.Project management / engineering degree or equivalent requiredExperience in a similar position managing multiple renewable energy projects or similar level of renewable energy projects in value and complexity.
