Hands and Feet are a not for profit organisation who provide help in times of need for the poor, vulnerable, widows, orphans and people with disabilities. Our warehouse at KINGS PARK, NSW is used to collect, sort and distribute food to people in need.Hands and Feet are looking for a competent Assistant Warehouse Manager to be employed on a part-time basis (20 hours a week).The Warehouse Manager will assign the duties, which could include a variety of the following activities:Manage the day-to-day collection and distribution of food to churches.Manage the volunteers and work for dole team who attend site to help the ministry.Ensure the cleanliness of the warehouse.Lock and unlock property as necessary.Be responsible for the packing and unpacking procedures of our trucks.Input data into Crittah to schedule drivers and record food collected or delivered to churches.Maintain a record of the weight of food in and out of the warehouse.Ensure the rubbish is collected and disposed of appropriately.Maintain good relationships with our neighbours.Implement and train staff and volunteers on emergency procedures for the warehouse.Induct volunteers and Work for Dole participants in WHS protocols.Maintain the attendance records of the Work for Dole (Supervisor app).Drive trucks if required for deliveries or pickups.Maintain good relationships with our customers, volunteers, and donors.Record incidents on our incidents form and enter these into Brevity.Some qualifications that would be an advantage:Have an understanding of safety protocols in operating forklifts.Personal Skills: having patience and the ability to work with and encourage people.Hands and Feet comply with the Equal Opportunity and Anti-Discrimination Laws.
