This includes managing strategic relationships with key national accounts such as Reece, Tradelink, Bunnings and independent merchant partners. Youll lead a team of 57 sales professionals and be accountable for achieving revenue, margin and market share growth through structured, sustainable plans.Reporting to the General Manager State Sales, this is a critical leadership role where youll develop and execute commercial strategies, drive customer satisfaction, and inspire your team to deliver high-impact results. As our successful candidate you will have the opportunity to:Drive commercial outcomes by developing and executing state-level business plans aligned with national strategy.Strengthen relationships with senior decision-makers across key merchant groups and independent partners.Lead and support the sales team through coaching, development, and performance management.Collaborate internally to ensure seamless delivery of customer initiatives and product rollouts.Monitor sales activity through CRM and reporting tools, using insights to inform strategic decisions.Champion continuous improvement and innovation in sales operations and customer engagement.Lead end-to-end sales planning and execution across a key business segment.Build, coach, and empower a high-performing team that delivers consistently on targets.Work for a market leader where initiative and results are celebrated and rewarded.Partner with our Marketing, Operations and Supply teams to bring customer strategies to life.Contribute to a business thats redefining how Australians use and experience water every day.About youGiven the seniority and influence that this role will enjoy, you will have at least 10-15 years demonstrated success as a Sales Manager, ideally within the building, plumbing, or construction industry. You will have a proven ability to manage merchant customer groups and deliver growth through a commercial mindset; experience in leading and motivating sales teams to achieve stretch targets, and strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.Well also expect you to be:A strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-oriented mindset.Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and influencing skills.Comfortable working with CRM systems and leveraging data to drive growth.Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, or Marketing, or equivalent industry experience.About usAt GWA, we''re not just a companywe''re a supportive community committed to making everyday water experiences extraordinary.
