We support each other, learn together, and foster relationships that nourish and empower every individual.Due to ongoing growth, we currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and driven Senior Accountant to join our Business Advisory & Assurance division.The Role:You will play an important role in the provision of audit and assurance services to our clients. The position requires sound knowledge of accounting standards and the audit process. You will also be responsible for the delivery of audit work to a high level for review and planning, which includes all related correspondence, documentation, and reporting.Key Responsibilities:Read, understand and follow audit planning memo and audit programDevelop audit plans as requiredUndertake field work for financial and compliance audits including interim and final testingPrepare work papers in accordance with Audit Methodology and prepare clear and concise reportsFully utilise Audit software program Caseware and advise junior staff on usagePrepare statutory financial statements and basic tax computationsApply computer simulations and computer assisted techniques in performing audit engagementsDraft technical memos for manager and partner reviewProvide feedback to staff on a regular basis during and at completion of assignmentsLiaise with Managers to ensure jobs are reviewed and completed on timeWhat we are looking for:University Graduate with solid credit results having commenced CA with first time pass resultsMinimum of 4 years current full time equivalent work experience gained ideally within a Big 4 or Mid Tier Chartered FirmThorough working knowledge of accounting standards and tax, as well as a detailed understanding of the audit process and audit risk assessmentAbility to prepare work paper files in accordance with firm and divisional standards and train junior staff in this regardProven ability to delegate lower level work to junior staff where it is cost effectivePrevious experience working with Private, Not-For-Profit, Charities, and Government-based clients will be highly regardedThe salary range for this role is $80,000-$95,000 package (inclusive of superannuation), based on level of experience.At Pitcher Partners, we believe success is better shared.
