Job Description

The AV Technician will be part of a specialist service team responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting audio-visual systems and technology. You will use your technical expertise to monitor and respond to AV technical issues remotely, provide on-site support, and collaborate with other teams to ensure the smooth operation of AV systems.Key responsibilitiesProvide first-contact support services to CTS clients via phone, Service Now, Microsoft Teams, and in-person.Offer customer service support to the Judiciary and their staff, including advice, user access, training, and troubleshooting.Install, configure, and maintain AV systems and components, including:Equipment installation and configurationDigital Signal Processor (DSP) programming and remote supportAudio-visual control systems programming and supportResolve audio recording and AV issues.Update databases of equipment, audit reviews, and job logging systems.Proactively monitor remote facilities for potential faults using remote management software.Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing the use of AV systems within Queensland Courts.Provide support, training, and feedback to clients and team members.Liaise with vendors and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Experience with Cisco video conferencing hardware and software.Familiarity with AMX control systems.Expertise in Biamp and Clearone DSP technology.Knowledge of Multipoint Conferencing Units.In-depth understanding of audio gain structure and reinforcement.IT Service Management/ITIL certification.Electronics background.Industry training in Audio-Visual Integration.Skills and experienceA class C motor vehicle license is required, and proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to commencement.At least four days per week of on-site support is required.Occasional intrastate travel and after-hours work may be necessary, including weekend work for significant events or operational needs.Experience with sophisticated AV systems in a complex networked environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for maintaining relationships with team members, courts, vendors, and clients.Attention to detail and ability to respond quickly to job requests.Opportunity for contract extension based on operational needs.Exposure to advanced AV technologies and systems in a multi-disciplinary environment.Potential for professional development and career growth within Queensland Courts.Competitive salary and benefits, with occasional travel opportunities throughout Queensland.Please note that a National Police Check might be required as part of pre-employment screening.Seniority levelAssociateEmployment typeContractJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustriesInformation Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
