Delivered at the Bond Institute of Health & Sport, the program provides students with direct exposure to elite athletes, high-performance training, and real-world industry placements.As part of our commitment to excellence in teaching and research, we are seeking an academic professional to contribute to the delivery of this innovative program. This role involves conducting tutorials, workshops, and practical classes, ensuring the highest quality of teaching and subject content while supporting student learning and development.A key aspect of this position is convening subjects that involve external student placements, ensuring compliance with Bond University and Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA) policies. The successful candidate will oversee subject coordination, develop and deliver course materials, coordinate and oversee external student placements and provide academic and administrative support. Responsibilities also include student consultation, assessment preparation and marking, and participation in faculty committees, marketing, and professional engagement activities. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of exercise and sports science professionals through industry-connected teaching and real-world experience.About the personThe successful candidate will have:A four-year tertiary qualification in exercise and sports science or a related field (Honours or equivalent).Current accreditation with Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA) as an accredited exercise physiologist (AEP)Experience in delivering tutorials and practical sessions in exercise and sports science.Knowledge of industry standards and accreditation requirements, including those set by ESSA.Experience coordinating student placements and ensuring compliance with university and industry policies.A track record of engagement with professional networks, industry partners, or high-performance sports environments.Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor students and collaborate with faculty and industry stakeholders.This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and industry-focused program while engaging with students, athletes, and professionals in the field of exercise and sports science.What else should you know?Flexible Work Options: Full-time position with the option for job shares.Travel: Visit each external placement provider at least twice during the semester in which the placement subject is offered.Please note: Due to the role replacement nature of the position, at any time before the expiry of the term, the employer may terminate the employees employment by giving four (4) weeks notice or payment in lieu of notice at the employees base salary (as at the revised date of termination).Salary detailsThe salary for this full-time position commences at $108,052.53 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation.
