In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queenslands Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.Job Description :We are seeking two Electrical Coordinator: Belt Installs to join the team at Aquila Mine on a full-time, permanent basis with Anglo American. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling the electrical activities within conveyor belt install operations to ensure a safe and productive mining environment is maintained.As the Electrical Coordinator: Belt Installs; your responsibilities are but not limited to:Coordinate the Belt Install activities to deliver targets safely, optimally, and in accordance with the annual mining sequence and engineering plans.Provide electrical engineering and maintenance leadership for the mines Belt Installation crews.Ensure that assets are designed, installed and maintained to standard in a safe, fit-for-purpose and cost-effective manner.Lead the drive to improve the electrical quality of the mines Belt Installs process, equipment and conveyor systems generally.Monitor electrical equipment performance data to diagnose risks to plan and improvement opportunities. Ensure all changes are risk assessed.Manage electrical engineering projects and ensure project is adequately planned by developing technical specifications, job instructions and procedures, material and services requirements, labour and skill requirements, tools and equipment requirements, industrial notifications, permits and safety management plans.Develop project schedule for all conveyor installs, removals and any overhaul work.Provide input to mine planning meetings to ensure plans are developed to mitigate production delays due to conveyor installation and removal sequences and timeframes.Create and implement rolling monthly plans to optimise the electrical installation performance to support the mine.Work alongside the Mechanical and Conveyor Coordinators to develop monthly work, resource plans and targets.Provide technical support to ensure the reliability and availability of all plant and facilities on shift by coordinating resources, utilising the work order system, preparing installation plans and organising the supply and availability of spare parts.Ensure appropriate materials, equipment and instructions are organised prior to the execution of maintenance plans.Identify areas for improvement and create action plans to ensure excellence in engineering installation practices is achieved.Comply with all statutory requirements.Consistently apply Safety & Health principles in all site interactions and take full ownership for safety on site and in your work area.Qualifications :Electrical Trade qualification and relevant tickets (Electrical License, EEHA, LVSR, Complex Isolator, HV Switching).Demonstrated supervisory experience within an underground coal mine is essential.Hold the Supervisor and Risk Management qualifications (S1, S2, S3 & G2).Conveyor Systems / Belt Installs Knowledge is required.Proficient experience with SAP or a similar program is desirable.Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive performance in a safe and productive manner.Display ability to be able to collaborate and communicate across different levels of the organization.Additional information :Full-time permanent position based at Aquila Mine, Middlemount QLD8 on, 6 off rosterCompetitive salary package and annual incentive programsResidential, FIFO (company funded) & DIDO optionsSubsidised accommodation and company funded camp options availableAnglo American company benefitsWhat we OfferWhen you join Anglo American, you can expect to enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package.
