If you take pride in your craftsmanship and are looking to work within a values-driven and supportive organisation, we encourage you to apply.About the RoleThe Wall and Floor Tiler will be responsible for preparing surfaces and installing a wide range of tiles, including ceramic, porcelain, stone, and mosaic. Working from construction plans and design layouts, you will ensure that all installations are completed to a high standard, in accordance with Australian regulations and project specifications. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other trades on-site.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and level surfaces for tiling using a variety of techniques and materials.Interpret architectural plans and layout designs for efficient and accurate tile placement.Measure, cut, and install tiles using manual and powered tools.Apply adhesives, grout, sealants, and protective coatings as required.Carry out repairs and maintenance to existing tiled surfaces.Adhere to Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards and environmental regulations on all job sites.Collaborate with project supervisors, team members, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and quality delivery.Maintain records of work performed, including time on site and materials used.Skills and Experience RequiredMinimum of three years full-time experience as a qualified Wall and Floor Tiler following completion of training or apprenticeship.Demonstrated experience across a variety of settings including wet areas, kitchens, and outdoor surfaces.Proficiency in using tile levelling systems, wet saws, grinders, and other industry tools.Comprehensive understanding of Australian Standards for tiling and waterproofing (e.g., AS 3958.1, AS 3740).Strong knowledge of WHS requirements and commitment to safe work practices.Experience on residential, commercial, or large-scale construction projects is highly desirable.Ability to work independently and within a team environment.About Versatile GroupVersatile Group is a dynamic and evolving organisation built on the values of excellence, ownership, continuous improvement, and a genuine passion for craftsmanship.
