About the role:In this newly created role, you will be responsible for providing project support to the Geelong Social Inclusion Action Group (SIAG) as well as to other projects in the Community Strengthening Department. The Geelong Social Inclusion Action Group is community-led and aims to identify local needs and develop initiatives that support community participation, inclusion, and connection to promote mental health and wellbeing through place-based activities. More information on Social Inclusion Action Groups can be found here.Work type: Permanent Part Time (0.5FTE)Classification: Band 5 Commencing at $78,646 pa plus super (Pro Rata)Key responsibilities include:Support the Social Inclusion Action Group Officer (SIAG) to recruit members to the group who reflect the diverse community.Support the Social Inclusion Action Group Officer to develop and implement solutions in line with Social Inclusion Action Group guidelines, department strategies, and plans.Provide administrative support to the department as required (e.g. Finance, minutes, and record keeping).Assist with preparing reports and presentations to key stakeholders on the progress of SIAG.Participate in Social Inclusion Action Group meetings which may occur out of hours.Embrace diversity and support engagement from Aboriginal people, people with disability, people from the LGBTQI+ community, and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.About you:The ideal candidate for this role will be a skilled administrative professional with experience in Health Promotion, Community Development, Public Health, or Youth Development.
