This role will support our funeral operations by providing best practice and service in the preparation and presentation of deceased.As a Mortician you will be responsible for:Providing best practice in the preparation and presentation of deceased personsEncoffin and present the deceased to InvoCare standards and in accordance to special family requests.Provide assistance to the Embalmer when required.Accurately complete mortuary registration and checking procedures.Maintain, clean and sterilise mortuary facilities and equipment.Perform coffin/casket trimming and engraving.Organise time efficiently and monitor daily workflow.Monitor stock levels and prepare orders as directed.About you:Ability to provide exceptional customer service at all levels.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Previous experience in mortuary and completion of the Mortuary Technician''s course would be highly regardedAbility to communicate effectively.In a fit state of physical and psychological health to be able to adequately perform the roleBe at ease working with grieving families and the deceasedGood attention to detail and the ability to follow directionBenefits of joining InvoCare:You may not have considered this industry before, but we provide vital services to families to assist them to celebrate the lives of their loved ones in a way that they would have wanted.
