As part of the Qantas Group, we are committed to safety, operational excellence, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Airworthiness Operations Manager to join our QantasLink Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO). This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and operational performance of our fleet across multiple Air Operator Certificates (AOCs), including National Jet Systems (NJS), Eastern Australia Airlines (EAA), and Sunstate Airlines (SSA).Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with CASA regulations and Part 42 Continuing Airworthiness requirements.Oversee daily operational performance, aircraft availability, and maintenance control for a fleet of over 70 aircraft, managing AMOs, vendors, and maintenance activities.Provide leadership in disruption recovery, defect rectification, compliance control, and crisis management, acting as a 24/7 escalation point for regulatory reporting and major disruptions.Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, safety, cost management, and risk mitigation, aligning with broader business objectives.Drive continuous improvement through people, processes, and technology, requiring strong leadership and change management capabilities.What Youll Bring To The TeamA minimum of 20 years of experience in the civil aviation industry, with at least 7 years in a CAMO/AMO managerial role.CASA Licensed or Degree qualified with relevant industry experience.Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams.Extensive knowledge of Part 42 & 145 regulations and experience in strategy development.Proven ability to manage costs, improve operational efficiency, and drive compliance excellence.Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.A high level of integrity, problem-solving ability, and decision-making expertise.Why Qantas?Youll join a team where creativity and passion are encouraged.
