ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a dynamic, strategic, and hands-on Head of Infrastructure to lead our technology infrastructure in the fuel and retail industry. This is an exciting leadership role where you will directly impact EG Australia''s success by managing our cloud and on-premises infrastructure, outsourced services, and desktop environment. Reporting to the General Manager Technology, the Head of Infrastructure is responsible for the management and performance of relevant vendors and service partners under an outsource arrangement. You will collaborate with our parent company in the UK and lead a small team in Australia to ensure our application landscape supports the efficiency of our Australian business and brings a positive experience to our local customers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and manage technology infrastructure, including cloud, on-prem, and outsourced services. Lead and develop the Infrastructure team, ensuring optimal performance and service levels are achieved. Collaborate with the IT Head of Security to secure infrastructure against cyber threats. Align infrastructure initiatives with business goals through planning and policy development. Optimise IT infrastructure operational costs, including cloud services and telecommunications. Manage vendor relationships and drive continual performance improvement. Administer and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Ensure compliance with industry standards, including security assessments and compliance measures. Ensure on-call support arrangements meet EG Australias operational needs. Oversee and manage the Microsoft ecosystem (M365, Entra, Intune, Sentinel, Defender, MFA, and SSO), including the migration from Google to the Microsoft suite. Provide advanced 3rd/4th Level Infrastructure support as required. Contribute to the strategic direction of IT at EG Australia and foster a positive workplace culture. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Minimum of 5+ years of senior-level infrastructure management experience Expert experience managing core technology infrastructure (cloud, on-prem and networking) and service delivery. Strong stakeholder management, relationship building, and influencing skills A continuous improvement mindset to identify, manage, and implement areas of improvement Proven track record of leading IT security in a complex business environment Proficiency in Azure cloud technologies, Microsoft security tools, and network management.
