Job PurposeAn exciting opportunity for a Senior Accounts Officer to join our growing team! This role is responsible for the operations of the accounts payable and accounts receivable activities to meet required deadlines. The Senior Accounts Officer will play a critical role in enhancing financial processes, maintaining accuracy in reporting, and driving continuous improvements within the finance function.Key AccountabilitiesDaily processing of both Accounts payable and Accounts receivable invoicesProcess payable invoices, enabling payment by SRO and as matched against vendor statementsGeneral accounts admin tasks to support the teamInvestigating and resolving issues with internal systems including CargowiseRespond timely to Customer, Supplier and internal stakeholder queries escalatedGeneration invoices for Commercial Partnerships/Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCO) via Global Freight EntityUpon payment by the BCO, match payment remittance to invoices in the systemIssue monthly statements and follow-up on unpaid invoices by BCOs/Commercial PartnershipsProcess weekly payment runs including managing FX, urgent and month end pay runsProvide mentoring and support to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and skill developmentAnalyze overdue accounts and implement targeted strategies to improve collection rates.Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceThe successful candidate will possess the following:Cargowise Experience a MUSTBachelors Degree qualification and demonstrated experience in a similar roleDemonstrated experience in stakeholder management or customer service roleDemonstrated experience in data management or data entryMinimum 5 years of experience in accounts payable and receivable roles, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity.Proven experience in Freight Forwarding and Transport Accounting.Demonstrated success in process improvement and team leadershipApplication detailsClick "Apply" to apply now. #J-18808-Ljbffr
