The Payroll Consultant plays an integral role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing for a large scale of workforce employees within Optus, including those covered by Enterprise Agreements.Were looking for a star ready to take on a great project that has experience with large payroll systems such as SAP SuccessFactors and ECPand were particularly interested in candidates who have worked on payroll remediation projects - or have a strong project/system implementation background.This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll remediation / execution, including processing, validation, submission, payment, reconciliation, while ensuring compliance with Australian tax laws, superannuation regulations, payroll tax obligations, and Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting requirements.The day to dayExecute end-to-end payroll processes from processing and validation to submission, payment, and reconciliation.Ensure payroll compliance with Australian tax legislation, superannuation requirements, payroll tax, and STP reporting.Accurately calculate and process termination, redundancy, and other employee entitlements.Validate and audit master data updates from HR Central to SAP Payroll, ensuring payroll accuracy.Conduct root cause analysis and propose corrective measures for payroll discrepancies.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with Enterprise Agreements.Maintain a strong understanding of Enterprise Agreements and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.Demonstrate advanced proficiency in HRMS systems, particularly SAP module and HR Central Payroll.Act as a knowledge resource to Analysts for interpreting awards, agreements, and payroll legislation.About you!Proven experience in managing high-volume in-house payroll services for large corporate bodies.Extensive experience in Australian payroll legislation covering taxation, superannuation, leave entitlements, State Revenue, and ABS reporting.Previous experience in implementing or upgrading various payroll software.Solid experience in payroll processing, preferably within a large organisation covered by Enterprise Agreements.Strong stakeholder management skills, with a customer-centric approach to payroll service delivery.Optus is a place where we let you do you.
