Salary $110 -$115K (incl. 11.5% super & vehicle)UBS are seeking a fulltime Building Assessor in Albury / Wodonga or surrounding area. This position involves inspecting property damage, preparing scopes and reports to a high standard within set KPI''s. The successful candidate will be working closely with our clients, customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors to ensure a positive and quality outcome on each job.If you are customer-focused, understand the insurance home claim process or have worked in the construction industry where repair and restoration has been the focus, please consider this exciting and challenging role.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesVisit sites, generate precise estimates for reinstating works following both minor and major building losses.Examine various types of building damage with meticulous attention to detail.Create comprehensive causation reports and Scope of Works as necessary.Interpret Scope of Works provided by Engineers and Consultants.Demonstrate a sound understanding of building and construction principles.Ensure estimated work adheres to legislative and occupational health and safety standards.Utilize photographs and videos to evaluate damages, estimate repair expenses, and compose detailed reports for clients, including observations on claims, pre-existing damages, builder errors, and maintenance concerns.Accurately recognize and document building construction materials.Detect any instances of non-compliance with Australian Standards.Collaborate with specialised trades to investigate and report on the root cause of damages.Build robust relationships and foster transparent communication channels with all stakeholders.About YouPositive and confident attitude with high focus on customer service.Competent computer skills across mobile devices, repair management systems and an ability to rapidly learn new systems.Courteous, respectful and empathetic.Able to perform within strict KPI guidelines with a sense of urgency.Qualified in Construction or Trade Certification.Excellent costing and quotation expertise supported by strong computer skills.Outstanding organisation and time management skills.Commitment to and be familiar with OHS legislation and regulations.RequirementsClear National Police Check.Driver Licence.WWC and White Card.Our Vision and MissionOur company has been in the insurance and restoration building business for 26 years and is one of the preferred partners to Australia''s largest and most reputable insurance companies.
