MSFs actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of impartiality, independence and neutrality.Benefits of working with MSFAustraliaFlexible & hybrid working arrangementsSalary packaging plus insurance benefits & allowancesAnnual salary & Performance reviewAnnual individual training budget & LinkedIn learning licenceEmployee Assistance ProgramMeditation classesStrong culture of diversity and inclusionAdditional leave & purchased leave optionsMonthly Friday afternoons off!ResponsibilitiesThis newly opened role will develop the strategy and provide psychosocial support services to both international mobile and domestic staff for MSF Australia and New Zealand.Reporting to the Head of International HR, this guidance role will ensure the integration of psychosocial activities with other MSF units and external providers and focus on advisory support including risk and compliance; delivering training and promoting mental health awareness; crisis response; data analysis and quality assurance; and maintaining a referral network to uphold staff well-being and resilience.Based out of Sydney, you will collaborate with the international Operational Centre and APAC Psychosocial Support Units and other Psychosocial Focal Points across MSF.RequirementsTo be successful in this crucial position, you will be known for your expertise in engaging with staff working in the humanitarian sector in stressful environments and innovative thinking in developing staff health and wellbeing initiatives. Ideally, you will be reliable in crisis response and incident management situations, and can demonstrate the following:Tertiary qualifications in PsychologySignificant experience in psychosocial support, preferably within a high-stress NGOPrior experience with Mdecins Sans Frontires is requiredStrong understanding of mental health issues and psychosocial interventionsConfident training skills and ability to facilitate learningOutstanding communication and advisory skills, along with the ability to strengthen external referral networksExperience in interventions for stress management, burnout prevention, and conflict managementExperience providing mental health support remotelyGood time management skills, the ability to prioritise and work under pressureAvailability and willingness to adopt flexible regional and international working hours when requiredApplicationsTo apply, upload your resume and cover letter via the below apply button.
