The role is a permanent position, reporting through to the Financial Controller.You will be responsible for developing a strong fixed asset framework for the Company that enables timely and accurate compliance with reporting deadlines.Building relationships with business managers will be a strength of yours to successfully ensure budget, accounting standards and policy compliance.We are looking for an experienced operator with a firm grasp and understanding of capital accounting principles and who shares the Finance teams commitment to providing exemplar support to the wider business.Key deliverables/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Oversee the accounting of capital projects, ensuring that costs are accurately tracked and allocated to the correct accounts and project codes.Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system (includes monthly capital additions to the asset register) and recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets.Understanding and supporting business leaders through tax implications of projects and capitalisation process (differences between asset book values and tax book values).Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets, and assist the auditors in their inquiries.Participating in cross-functional projects, sharing knowledge, and contributing to continuous improvement.Set up Capital projects, access individual transactions within projects and work with business to ensure projects are not over budget.Complete the monthly employee capitalisation process.What we offer you?This is an opportunity to be part of a progressive organisation with a great culture and assist in the transformation and growth of the business.
