Job Title

The CNC Junior Machinist is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of CNC mills, EDM and wire cutting machines to produce high-quality parts that meet the engineered specification and manufacturing schedule. The CNC Junior Machinist will accomplish this through the set-up of work fixtures, tools, and workpieces according to setup sheets and monitoring the machining process to ensure parts are manufactured to the required specification. The CNC Junior Machinist must also perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of the machines to ensure they are functioning optimally.ResponsibilitiesOperate multiple CNC mills, EDM, wire cutters, or other metal working equipment as required according to documented proceduresSet up fixtures and workpieces accurately and efficientlySet up tools, electrodes and holders with precisionPerform routine maintenance on machines as necessaryUse precision measuring tools to verify the quality of machined partsProvide feedback for CAM revisions, giving input on manufacturing requirementsOperate CMM to verify quality of machined parts according to specificationAssist in continuous improvement projects by evaluating processes and make recommendations to improve productivity, quality & costPerform and document pre delivery inspection processes to ensure the highest quality tooling projects are delivered safely to our clients across the globeOngoing compliance with ResMed policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environmentPerform other ad hoc duties as required.Qualifications and Experience2-3 years experience operating CNC millsCAM knowledge advantageousWire & Sinker EDM experience advantageousQualifications / accreditation in Toolmaking, Machining, or Engineering would be advantageousBroad understanding of CNC machining & cutter technologiesProficient in working with Fanuc, Heindenhain, or Siemens controllersStrong safety awareness and commitment to safety proceduresGood communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyBasic computer ability in Microsoft office. #J-18808-Ljbffr
