Further information on WWH can be found at www.wakai-waian.com.au.Our Mission/Principles/ Ways of workingFor details on our mission, guiding principles, and ways of working, see our website.Company ObjectivesThe main objective of WWH is the healing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples through the following:The direct provision of Psychology and Counselling services;Building and enhancing the capacity of community-based support services;The co-ordination of mental health/social and emotional wellbeing services;The promotion of best practice in the delivery of mental health/social and emotional wellbeing services;Enhancement and development of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mental health/social and emotional wellbeing workforce.Role PurposeThe purpose of this position is to provide direct strategic and operational support primarily to the Chief Executive Officer and, as a secondary priority, to the other executive employees of WWH. This position reports to the WWH Chief Executive Officer (Edward Mosby) who is based in Rockhampton.Position Expected TasksSuccessful applicants will be expected to undertake the following tasks:Direct Support to CEOProvide direct support to the CEO with achieving the organisation''s strategic goals by providing effective leadership and management strategies.Understudy the CEO to ensure the success of the organisation''s mission through the employment of the organisation''s principles, values, and ways of working.Work in collaboration with the CEO to develop and manage an organisational performance and business analysis platform including dedicated dashboards in support of both strategic and operational planning and decision making.Work in collaboration with the CEO to manage executive correspondence, including the preparation and coordination of briefings, responses to correspondence, submissions, meeting papers, reports, submissions, and strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting documents.Assist the CEO in effectively managing work queue and ensure efficient coordination & communications within the Senior Management Team and external stakeholders.On occasions represent the CEO at key stakeholder meetings and events.Understudy the organisation''s Executive positions and Senior Management Team Members with the view to providing high-level and confidential business, administrative, and executive support services in relation to administrative, human resource, financial, governance, policy, and operational matters.Preparing & Facilitating Senior Management Team meeting agendas and minutes including action items setting the organisation''s momentum and tempo with planning and task completion.Facilitate Senior Management Team meetings to review and update the operational plans, continuous improvement plans, marketing plans, recruitment, and sustainability plans, other relevant plans, documents, and processes to achieve organisation objectives.Regularly provide briefings and feedback to the CEO on strategic and operational matters with a particular focus on Senior Management Team elements (Workforce, Marketing and Communications, Certification and Compliance, Operations).OperationsBe prepared to work in collaboration with the Operation Managers & Team Leaders (across both Mental Health and NDIS services) providing support towards planning, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation.Provide support to Operations Managers and Team Leaders with performance and outcomes monitoring and achievement.Quality and ComplianceBe prepared to assist the Quality Assurance & Compliance (QA&CP) Officer to ensure WWH maintains its current accreditations (i.e., ISO 9001: Quality Management Systems; the National Mental Health Standards; and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Registration).Support and guide WWH with the achievement of other relevant standards accreditations that directly support the growth and progress of the organisation.Work with the QA&CP Officer to establish and maintain other relevant internal benchmarks (i.e., cultural safety, trauma-informed service provision, workplace diversity, Consumer/Stakeholder Feedback).Marketing, Engagement, Communications, Branding (MECB)Be prepared to assist the Marketing & Communications Lead with the delivery of the organisation''s marketing, communications engagement, and branding plan.On behalf of the CEO monitor the outcomes and consistency between MECB operations and organisation goals and the organisation MECB Plan.Workforce SustainabilityProvide support to Workforce Sustainability Lead with staff recruitment, retention, and sustainability processes across the organisation in consultation with the Senior Management Team.Personal and Professional Growth and DevelopmentContinually engage in personal and professional growth, development, and self-care to support the achievement of expected tasks at the highest standard.Position Expected Skills:The successful applicant is expected to possess the following skills:Formal qualifications in Business Management or similar;Previous experience in similar roles, preferably in an allied health or community services organisation;Effectively demonstrate leadership and management skills and abilities in demanding and complex environments;Ability to perform above tasks in the following modes via in person, teleconference, and videoconference;Effective verbal and written communication skills;Ability to plan, coordinate and deliver training and workshops;Ability to collect and analyse data;Ability to solve complex problems;Ability to support Strategic and Operational leadership;Ability to collaborate across professions and various stakeholders;Ability to collaborate and integrate with a variety of Government, non-Government, Private sector, and Community Controlled Organisations;Demonstrated knowledge of cultural sensitivities and current issues affecting the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in conjunction with a willingness to incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander values into clinical practice, daily service delivery, and strategic planning;Ability to establish effective working relationships across a variety of service providers both internal and external to a host organisation;Ability to effectively use and/or adapt to a variety of technologies including mobile phones, computers, computer-based programs, and internet-based applications/platforms.Other essential criteria:Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and/or registration with the appropriate registration authority, including any necessary endorsements, to be provided to the employing service prior to the commencement of duty;Pre-employment screening, including criminal history and discipline history checks, will be undertaken on persons recommended for employment;All employees at WWH are required to hold an NDIS Disability Screening Card, a Working with Children Card (Blue Card), unless otherwise exempt;
