Project Managers12-month initial casual positionLocation: based onsite at Millmerran Power StationAbout the RoleAs a Project Manager, you will assist the Projects Team in delivering high-priority reliability projects and oversee the development and implementation of major maintenance and capital improvement projects. The role involves Day-shifts with a Monday to Friday 40-hour week roster, though occasional overtime and shift work may be required.Skills & experienceEssential:Technical qualifications aligned with project work at Millmerran Power Station.Experience in maintenance within a power station or similar environment.Solid understanding of Workplace Health and Safety regulations.Desirable:Engineering qualifications and/or Project Management certification (e.g., PMBOK).Experience with Boiler and Turbine plants.Familiarity with project management processes, asset management principles, and risk assessment procedures.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PI, JD Edwards, and Oracle.Duties & responsibilitiesManaging assigned projects by reviewing documentation, ordering equipment, coordinating deliveries, conducting site inspections, and working with operations, maintenance, and HS&E teams to ensure safe and timely project delivery.Preparing weekly progress reports, tracking forecasted vs. actual budget and work progress.Reviewing and preparing tender documents, managing contractor quality control, and overseeing project documentation.Ensuring compliance with safety, budget, and schedule through effective resource management.Supporting the Projects Coordinator with budget management and cost estimates.Assisting in the preparation of risk assessments, work method statements, and compliance with environmental and safety regulations.BenefitsWork with a state-of-the-art, energy-efficient coal-fired power station.Opportunity to manage high-priority, impactful projects.Competitive remuneration.Day work with a Monday to Friday 40-hour roster, with overtime and shifts as needed.Residential role based in the Millmerran areano FIFO or DIDO available.About the CompanyCategory 5 Labour Management is a leading provider of Rail, Marine, Industrial Services, Professional, Technical, and Trades personnel throughout Australia and New Zealand.We are proud to partner with our client, who owns and operates a state-of-the-art coal-fired power station located in Millmerran, just an hour from Toowoomba and 30 minutes from Pittsworth.
