As the Financial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving the financial success of our two-location veterinary business.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:Oversee and manage the daily financial operations of the clinic, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.Manage and develop cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting tools to ensure financial stability and growth.Educate and engage with team members and key stakeholders in the financial day-to-day operations of the business.FINANCIAL REPORTING:Prepare and present quarterly financial reports.Analyse financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.Collaborate with management to develop and manage key financial metrics and performance indicators.COMPLIANCE:Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.Preparation of documents for ATO requirements.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEHigh-level experience or qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Strong proficiency in financial software (preferably Xero), Excel, and Microsoft 365.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with a track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.Ability to learn in-house practice management software.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTESStrategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to financial management.Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.Proactive and adaptable.Self-motivated team player with great communication skills.Alignment with our core values and strategic plan.Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with a sense of banter who enjoys being part of a caring team.ROLE AND REMUNERATION:4 day working week.Hours 8.30 5.30 (flexible hours can be negotiated for the right candidate).Employee Assistance program with wellbeing and health support.Salary to commensurate with experience.If you are dedicated to making a positive impact and supporting our aim and core values, we would love to hear from you.Apply with a cover letter and resume to our Directors Dr Sarah and Sean McGrath; applications forwarded to our Operations Manager, Michelle Gysbers by close of business April 14th 2025 to Michelle@millicentvet.com.au. #J-18808-Ljbffr
