This allows easy access to training, seminars and conferences in the city, without diminishing the direct impact that comes from working within a close-knit rural community.To learn more visit www.bawbawshire.vic.gov.auAbout The RoleThe Noojee Forestry Transition Project (Shaping the Future of Noojee) supports the community of Noojee and surrounding towns of Piedmont, Loch Valley, Toorongo, Vesper, Icy Creek and Tanjil Bren to undertake long term planning and identify opportunities for innovation and economic diversification to:support the local economy to grow and adapt to changing industry trends,create new job opportunities, andprovide long-term economic and social benefits to the area.The Noojee Forestry Transition Project Support Officer will provide support, including administrative support, to the Noojee Forestry Project Manager and assist in identifying the areas strengths, assets, challenges and unique opportunities for innovation and economic development. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic project working with the community of Noojee and surrounding towns as they develop opportunities for economic and social benefit.The role provides administrative support to the Project Manager and involves engagement with the community, local businesses and industry and local and state Government. The day-to-day work has variety, with the key focus being support for the Working Groups including creation of meeting agendas, minutes, basic research, and project work.This role will provide an opportunity to work directly with stakeholders with community engagement at the forefront of the project. The role forms part of the Economic Development and Advocacy Team which is responsible for supporting an innovative, thriving and sustainable local business and industry providing local employment.About The Successful CandidateWere looking for a candidate with experience in providing administrative support and managing stakeholder relationships. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with the public are a must. Youll need to show great time management skills, be able to juggle priorities, and manage competing demands to a high standard.
