Seasonal Worker Welfare and Wellbeing CoordinatorAbout Us:Sunshine Berries is a commercial berry farm, located in Childers in the Bundaberg Region of Queensland. Sunshine Berries is a subsidiary of Tasmanian Berries, which is an innovative, family-owned berry business located in Central Northern Tasmania. We specialise in hydroponically grown strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries of premium quality for the Australian domestic market.Position:We are currently seeking a Welfare and Wellbeing Coordinator who will play a crucial role in monitoring and engaging with our staff from the Pacific Labour Scheme. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the social, mental, physical, and spiritual health of our labour force from various countries, both on-site at the farm and in their accommodations.Key Responsibilities:Provide logistical support to workers, including organising doctors'' and dentists'' appointments.Conduct inductions and facilitate the seamless integration of new workers into the country, community, and workplace.Develop and implement training programs to educate workers about safety protocols, emergency procedures, and general health and hygiene practices.Act as the first point of contact for workers in case of conflicts, performance issues, disengagement, or behavioural concerns. Focus on fostering employee happiness and engagement.Organise recreational activities and outings to promote a healthy work-life balance.Observe and communicate with workers to address any changes that may impact their mental or physical well-being, both individually and as a group.Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address any language barriers and facilitate effective communication between workers and supervisors.Qualifications and Attributes:Ability to effectively communicate and engage with individuals from different countries where English is not their first language.Possession of a First Aid Certificate/MHFA/WWVP is advantageous.Full Driver''s License/LR licence is highly regarded.Compassionate and empathetic personality.Ability to handle stressful, confrontational, or risky situations safely and calmly.Flexibility regarding working hours, including occasional weekends, out-of-hours shifts, and rotational on-call duties.Maturity in managing time, working autonomously, and understanding the significance of effective communication.What We Offer:Full-time employment with potential for flexible working arrangements.Commitment to your learning and development.Supportive and friendly work environment, including access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP).How to Apply:To apply for this position, please submit your application via SEEK and include a cover letter summarising your relevant experience in relation to the responsibilities and requirements outlined above.
