This includes research as well as teaching the health professionals of the future.The provision of high level Knowledge and Skills within the discipline/departmentProviding expert Consultation and Advice directly to patients and within the Health service as required.Providing expert Clinical Service to patients of the hospital as directed within the above Scope of Clinical Practice.Actively taking part in Quality Improvement, Risk Management, Peer Review and Audit and to demonstrate positive change as a result. Including support for National and College quality standards.Demonstrating Ethical Practice and Decision Making in both clinical and non-clinical areas, including fulfilling all responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Healths core values, and the Queensland Public Service Code of Conduct at all times.Undertaking self-initiated Reflective Practice and maintenance of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to maintain professional competence and expertise.Ensuring high quality and timely Clinical and Non-Clinical Documentation and Management of Information whether paper-based or enabled by information technology. This includes being responsible for the quality and timeliness of documentation of medical staff who report to you, including junior doctor.The Health Service/Hospital:The Health Service is a leader in healthcare delivery in the Hume region. Their services include an Emergency Department, Surgery, Medical, Womens and Childrens Services, Rehabilitation, Palliative Care, Mental Health and community-based health programs.The Campus has 280 beds - providing acute medical, surgical, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatric, rehabilitation, intensive/coronary care, emergency care, mental health and geriatric care.
