This hybrid role offers a unique blend of challenges and rewards, allowing you to make a significant impact on our business.What you''ll doAs a Senior Financial Accountant at Spotlight Retail Group, you''ll be reporting to the Finance Manager to play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.Your responsibilities will include:Maintain the Fixed Asset Register for management accounting and statutory accounting purposes in an appropriate and timely mannerProvide monthly reconciliations of the FAR to the General Ledger.Process and approve internal orders for new projectsProvide relevant stakeholders with capital project reports on a monthly basisProvide Budget and Forecast CAPEX data as required to support the Commercial Analysis team.Support the completion of the Fixed Asset notes to the financial statements by providing data schedules related to fixed assets.Supporting the month end and year end close process, including journal preparation and reconciliations for P&L and balance sheet accountsPreparing variance analysis against Last Year and ForecastSupporting the annual audit processIdentifying and implementing process improvements to enhance financial efficiencyAssisting in the coaching and mentoring of junior team membersProvide backup support to other finance team roles as requiredWhat you''ll bringMust have 5+ years of relevant experience in financial accounting roleBachelor of accounting + CA or CPA qualifiedStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to manage own workflow and meet deadlinesProven ability to effectively multi-task and problem solve quicklyStrong Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred)Prior experience in the Retail Industry will be desirableExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilitiesA proactive, team-oriented mindset with a passion for retailTeam oriented and with willingness to initiate continuous improvementProactive and capable of investigating anomalies as they ariseWhy Spotlight Retail Group?Join a company that values its employees and offers a supportive and inclusive culture.
