Permanent full timeKiama Council is committed to promoting diversity and fostering inclusion.We currently have the opportunity for a Communications Officer Digital to join our team.As Communications Officer Digital With Kiama Council You WillImplement, administer and develop Councils digital communications across a variety of platforms.Deliver projects and content for Councils websites, intranet, engagement platforms, and social media channels.Work to improve usability, ensure business efficiency and achieve industry best practice standards and accessibility across Councils digital communication platforms and social media.Proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate content creation and regular updates.Identify trends and innovation in digital communications and social media to improve Councils offering.Create exciting and dynamic content for Councils social media channels and bring fresh ideas for external and internal communications campaigns to the table.Build and maintain effective networks within the local government sector to improve and enhance our digital communications.Develop procedures, policies and guidelines to manage and improve digital communications, engagement and social media presence with our external and internal stakeholders.Track statistics and use analysis tools to provide regular reports on Councils digital performance across different channels.What We Offer...Permanent full time, 35 hours per week (Consideration of a job share arrangement would be given to this position, providing opportunity to work on a temporary part time basis).Annual salary commencing from $88,034 to $97,058 (salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience).Progressive salary up to $100,007.Plus 11.5% superannuation.Generous leave entitlements including access to flex time allowing up to two days off each month.Access to health and wellbeing opportunities such as Fitness Passport, EAP and health and wellbeing days.What You''ll Need To Be Successful In The Role...A Degree in Digital Communications, Marketing, Information Technology or equivalent.Experience in project management with the ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.Experience in the development, management and maintenance of websites and intranets and social media channels.Experience in graphic design and/or social media management.Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.The ability to take initiative, think creatively, work well under pressure, prioritise and work as part of a team.Excellent communication skills with web writing expertise and strong attention to detail.An understanding of and commitment to web usability and accessible content, SEO and WCAG2.0.The ability to analyse and monitor digital platforms using web and user analytics, create reports and make recommendations for improvement.Pre-Employment ChecksYour employment will be subject to a National Criminal Record Check to determine your suitability for employment.All employees and other workers must uphold and promote safety and wellbeing for children and young people.Closing Date:Sunday 13 April 2025 at 11:30pm.Interested?Click on Apply to complete your online application or for more information contact Claire Doble, Manager Communications, Engagement & Customer Service on 0477 274 ***. #J-18808-Ljbffr
