You will have some experience of engaging with individuals with multiple and/or complex needs and demonstrate a determined approach to finding solutions.No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.Where: Countywide in NorthamptonshireHours: Full time, 37.5 hours per weekSalary: 27,861.26 - 32,002.35 Dependent on experience (based on full time hours, pro rata for part time)ResponsibilitiesAbout the role:Going on outreach shifts; these include in all weathers on early mornings, nights, and weekends.Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referralEngaging with individuals experiencing rough sleeping and people involved in street-based activity.Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider communityPromoting carer, service user and community involvementWorking with partner agencies to support people using services to access accommodation, physical and mental health services, substance use services, benefits etc.Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determinationAbout you:Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar fieldExperience of communicating effectively with people requiring supportExperience of engaging and providing meaningful support to individuals with severe and multiple unmet needs.Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skillsKnowledge of at least one of the following issues around homelessness; the benefits system, substance use, mental or physical health, the criminal justice system, housing (Social and/or Private Rented).Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholdersSome experience of supporting people who may be affected by homelessness, mental health and substance use.Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service usersUnderstand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguardsSeek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of othersWhat we will give to you:25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.
