The role will manage a large team of SOC Engineer/Analysts responsible for the maintenance and support of a large enterprise environment as an onsite consultant.The position is to provide technical administration, maintenance and support for the multi-platform environments as well as technical leadership/management.The ideal person will be an experienced SOC Manager (NV1) with a proven track record with large systems integrators onsite for large enterprise environments who is passionate about cyber security and awareness.This role does require an active AGSVA NV1 clearance at a minimum. Consultants that do not hold this minimum requirement will not be considered. This role will work with a Federal government client and will require some interstate travel.Key Responsibilities:Leading a team of 12+ SOC Analysts/Engineers within a 24/7 environmentDevelop a strong understanding of incident response frameworks and best practicesManaging and mentoring the SOC Analysts/EngineersLead the investigation and response to security incidentsTriage security alerts, perform in-depth analysis, and develop containment strategiesAct as primary point of contact for incident escalations from Tier 1/2 analystsCoordinate incident response efforts across various teamsInvestigate potential threats through security alerts, anomalies, or intelligence reportsAct as key point of contact for security operations including client facing responsibilitiesDriving security operations and ensuring best practices are adhered toStay updated on emerging threats and attack techniquesTranslate threat intelligence into actionable detection strategiesRequirements:5+ years professional experience as a SOC Team Lead and/or SOC ManagerStrong management skills - proven experience driving and leading a team to operational successSeasoned security professional with experience in incident responseStrong understanding of network security, operating systems, and common attack vectorsExcellent communication skills for incident coordination and reportingAbility to lead investigations into complex security incidentsKnowledge of threat intelligence and attack frameworksLong term contract engagement, that has the chance of extensionDiverse technical stack, with an opportunity to develop agnostic experience across multi-variant technologiesAttractive working environment emphasis on training and flexibilityHow to Apply:Click APPLY or contact John Resource Manager for a confidential discussion with Green Light Worldwide.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustriesIT Services and IT Consulting #J-18808-Ljbffr
