By owning all aspects of the development cycle, from participating in the design through to deployment, this position ensures that the Stan platform is developed and maintained using best practice engineering principles.Responsibilities and Duties:Build new and maintain existing web experiences utilising agile practices and modern development techniques including iterative development and continuous integration.Research and spike new techniques & technologies that may be beneficial.Use your creativity to seek improvements to current systems, work practices and processes and contribute to internal development standards & practices.Continuously make improvements to applications in production based on user feedback and monitoring.Coach and provide technical mentoring to other developers within the team.Skills & Experience:Minimum 5 years of software development experience.Experience working in cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers.Experience building responsive, mobile-friendly, and accessible web experiences across various devices and platforms.Experience delivering high-performant web applications at scale.Strong troubleshooting skills.Knowledge and understanding of service-oriented architecture and distributed systems.Sound knowledge of defensive coding practices to address common security vulnerabilities.Behaviours:Has a proactive approach to problem solving and troubleshooting.Takes a long-range, broad approach to problem solving and decision making through objective analysis, thinking ahead, and planning.Operates with a good deal of energy, intensity, and emotional expression.Enlists the talents of others to help meet objectives by giving them important activities and sufficient autonomy to exercise their own judgement.Feels comfortable in fast changing environments and is willing to take risks and to consider new and untested approaches.Values the ideas and opinions of others and collects their input as part of the decision-making process.Has a mind-set that is willing to embrace new technologies and ways of doing things.Excited by what you read?
