Senior Water Resource EngineerOur client, a multi-disciplinary consultancy with a strong presence across Australia, is experiencing continued growth and is seeking an experienced Water Resource Engineer to join their civil team based in Melbourne.The successful candidate will have over 5 years of experience in designing stormwater and drainage systems for a variety of projects, including land development, road, rail, and infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Utilise modeling software to prepare design drawings for flooding and stormwater projects.Ensure designs comply with Australian standards and practices.Review engineering plans to ensure they meet project specifications.Prepare concept and feasibility design documentation and obtain relevant approvals.Write technical reports, manage projects, and liaise with clients.Support and train junior team members.Collaborate with teams across Australia as required.Prepare tenders and drive business development when needed.Requirements:Relevant qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering.Experience in stormwater design within an Australian consultancy.Proficiency in flood modeling software such as DRAINS, MUSIC, TU-FLOW, HEC-RAS, and 12D.Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders at all levels.Expertise in hydrology and hydraulic modeling.Ability to manage strict timelines and competing priorities.Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship.Benefits:Competitive remuneration package.Ongoing training and support with opportunities for career advancement.Strong pipeline of future work, including iconic infrastructure projects in the water and utilities industry.If this opportunity interests you, please apply below or send your resume and cover letter to blake.taylor@nesfircroft.com.
