PURPOSEThe Commissioning Project Manager will lead the Automation Commissioning activities as part of a project team for large Mission Critical clients. This role will assist the project management team with other management duties including project financials, scheduling and procurement, system installation, quality control and assurance, and client relations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.Coordinate all facets of Automation commissioning activities with the field technical teamMaintain the technical project scheduleResponsible for constraint tracking and reporting to general contractor and owner teamAttend commissioning meeting and be the voice for the teamReview technical submittalsMaintain technical RFI development and trackingProvide Factory Witness/Bench test supportProvide technical MOP developmentContinuously develop relationships with existing customers and pursue opportunities which provide long-term customer relationships and revenue opportunitiesEducate clients on Baker Group capabilities not only in the building automation business, but also cross selling capabilities for revenue opportunities within other business unitsDevelop solutions for customers utilizing internal estimating software and standard product selections. Review with Baker Group team members solutions prior to submitting to client to ensure we can deliver what we are selling.MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSBachelors degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical EngineeringExperience in Automation, HVAC, and Electrical systemsExperience in estimating/managing automation projects, building and growing customer relationshipsCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSValid driver license with good driving recordMENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSStrong technical background in building automation systems and or industrial PLCsSolid knowledge of HVAC, electrical and automation systems and controlsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITYProlonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computerSignificant field and client interactions on construction job sites, which may require prolonged periods of standing, walking and/or climbing stairsOccasional exposure to variety of temperature and weather conditionsBaker Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
