Part Time working 16 hrs per weekend (alternate Sat and Sun).This role requires a high level of clinical expertise in the assessment, ongoing management and recovery to consumers with complex medical and mental health related needs and their family/carers.Providing a service to all inpatient units of TNH, including dialysis, CAHU, SSU, MWHU, ICU, Units A, B, C, D, E.CL secondary consultation and the provision of education related to psychiatric disorders, treatments and MHA 2014 to generalist clinicians.Providing assessment and treatment to referred patients admitted to Northern Hospital and presenting with significant emotional distress, altered mood, thought, perception or behaviour, unexplained physical health symptoms which the treating team feel may have an underlying psychological cause.Ensuring completion of the clinical governance, legislative and documentation requirements (e.g. clinical review discussions, completion of documentation, and compliance with requirement of the Mental Health Act).Provide training and educational opportunities for TNH enhancing the mental health literacy of generalist clinicians, medical and nursing staff related to psychiatric disorders, treatments and the MHWA 2022.To be successful in this role you will have:Experience and good working knowledge of the 2014 and 2022 Mental Health and Wellbeing ActsConsolidated knowledge and experience working with medical and mental health teamsFormalized AOD credentialingProven ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.Have we sparked your interest?If this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, then we would love to hear from you.
