We''re recruiting on behalf of our client for a Logistics Advisor who is based in Brisbane to join a major APF Tie-in Project in PNG.About the role:The Logistics Advisor is a key player in the successful delivery of the APF Tie-in Project, ensuring that all logistics and supply chain activities align with the project''s objectives, constraints, and quality standards.This role is responsible for planning and preparing supply chain and logistics activities, including infield route identification, status assessments, and identifying maintenance or upgrade requirements. The role will support the coordination of material transportation and delivery, order fulfillment, and adherence to internal policies and procedures. Additionally, it will ensure alignment and synergy with other business units to optimize logistics efforts.The Logistics Advisor is an integral member of the project''s execution team, reporting directly to the Project Manager (Pipeline) and collaborating closely with the Project Lead (Facilities) and other project execution leads. This position is functionally aligned with the PNG Business Unit''s Supply Chain organization.12-month fixed term rolling contractBrisbane-based opportunitiesNo FIFO or Relocation offeredCandidates must have full Australian working rightsPNG experience (Essential)Pipeline experience (Essential)NOT OPEN TO OVERSEAS APPLICANTSKey Responsibilities:Integrate logistics requirements and assumptions into project scope, plans, cost estimates, and risk profiles, including developing and maintaining logistic transport envelopes for equipment procurement.Support the management of Project logistics contractors through pre-qualification, tendering, evaluations, approvals, and performance monitoring.Ensure alignment of stakeholders (project team, Co-Venture partners, government/regulatory bodies) with logistics strategies and project plans.Oversee project logistics financials, optimizing strategies, processes, and procedures to maximize cost efficiency.Manage logistics-related risks by identifying uncertainties, integrating them with the work scope, and developing risk treatment plans in collaboration with stakeholders.Additional Responsibilities:Identify logistics management opportunities and synergies with Co-Venture partners or other business needs.Foster strong, productive relationships with external service providers and contractors.Promote local community contracting group participation in line with the project''s Sustainable Development and Stakeholder Management Plans.Address communication gaps and misalignment between stakeholders proactively.Seek cross-functional risk management opportunities through integrated contracting strategies.Qualifications:10-15+ years of experience coordinating and delivering logistics for major infrastructure projects in remote locations.Tertiary qualifications in relevant engineering disciplines or equivalent.Experience in pre-FEED and FEED project phases within a gated project delivery framework.Experience in brownfield hydrocarbon and gas pipeline projects.Knowledge of PNG community-based contracting groups.Strong commercial acumen and business judgment.Exceptional personnel and contractor management skills, including conflict resolution.Ability to simplify and communicate complex technical challenges effectively.A delivery-focused mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.Creativity in problem-solving within a group setting.Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills with a track record of delivering results through people.Understanding of project management processes, including scope control and change management.Cultural awareness and sensitivity to a diverse workforce.Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.Willingness to travel regularly, including to PNG.If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply and become part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering excellence in logistics and supply chain management.To Apply: Visit our website at for more information.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionSupply ChainIndustriesOil and Gas #J-18808-Ljbffr
