You will lead the dietetics team at Warringal Private Hospital, which is known for its commitment to excellence in clinical practice and quality improvement to ensure a service of the highest standard is provided.Caseloads include surgical, orthopaedics, cardiac, intensive care, oncology and medical.Duties includePlans, implements and evaluates the dietetic and nutrition service to patients and carers in assigned areasAccurately documents evidence-based patient assessment and management in a timely manner according to department protocolsDevelops, evaluates and updates dietary education resourcesParticipates in approved research and/or quality improvement projectsIdentifies and uses community resources appropriatelyDevelops protocols and procedures according to evidence-based practiceProvides in-service training/education for nursing, catering and medical staff as requiredSupervises, instructs and evaluates students in approved clinical teaching programsSkills & ExperienceDemonstrated ability and commitment to uphold and promote the Ramsay Way core values.Bachelor of Science (Nutrition and Food Science) plus post-graduate Dietetic Degree or equivalent qualificationCurrent membership with the Dietitians Australia with Accredited Practicing Dietitian statusDemonstrated ability to appropriately apply evidence-based practice and dietetic knowledge to patient managementDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environmentWell-developed organisational and time management skillsCommitment to continuing professional developmentDemonstrated understanding of the relevant accreditation framework and commitment to quality improvement.Whats in it for you?Professional Advancement: Recognition, Rewards, Professional Development, and Employee referral programs.
