Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.East Kalgoorlie Primary School (EKPS) is situated on the eastern fringe of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in Williamstown. Our students reside all over the city, 94% of whom are Aboriginal. With one of the lowest Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage (ICSEA) in the state at 648, it is a priority that we engage with our community and stakeholders to develop strong structures and supports so every child can achieve no matter of their location or personal circumstance. Suitable applicants will provide an integrated and culturally responsive program to meet the needs of our predominantly Aboriginal student population.Suitable applicants will ideally understand explicit instruction. Knowledge of The Writing Revolution, Let''s Decode & Spelling Mastery is highly desirable. Suitable applicants will also ideally be flexible, energetic, and able to work collaboratively within their phase. We are seeking Teachers who have outstanding interpersonal skills with a natural ability to communicate effectively and build genuine relationships with parents, students, and staff members. Suitable applicants who can quickly establish a positive and welcoming classroom environment with high expectations, and a growth mindset, while building students positive social and emotional skills would be highly regarded.Suitable applicants will ideally possess exemplary teaching skills, be highly motivated, and hold themselves accountable for delivering best practices. The ability to work in an environment characterised by whole school connected practice, collaborative team structures, and a strong commitment to professional growth would be highly regarded.Ideally, suitable applicants will take advantage of high impact teaching strategies and have proven experience in the planning and delivery of engaging literacy and numeracy programs with a particular focus on explicit instruction.
