We are committed to the ecologically sound and sustainable use of resources and strive to operate in a manner that minimises waste and protects the environment.Your responsibilities will include:Ensuring efficient service to customers/clients by collecting full scrap metal bins, and/or delivering empty bins, in a timely fashionCommunicating with management to identify any industry movement and activity, or any on-site concerns regarding OHS, environmental or collection issues arisingWork in accordance with a daily plan for routine collectionsEnsure all work is completed in accordance with our site safety, environmental and quality proceduresYard work as requiredTo be successful in this opportunity, you will have:Open manual HR license with previous experience in a similar roleEffective communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or in a team environmentFlexibility to respond to transport and operationsIt will be of added advantage if you have:Previous experience in a similar industry would be highly regardedTickets to operate various load shifting equipment such as excavatorsA career with Sims provides you with the opportunity to work with an organisation whose goal is to be the worlds safest and most responsible recycling company.
