Supervisor - Central Control Room (Boilerhouse)Join to apply for the Supervisor - Central Control Room (Boilerhouse) role at Queensland Alumina Limited.Your new career opportunity: Supervisor Central Control Room (Boilerhouse)Permanent full-time role4,5,5 lifestyle roster (day and night shift)About your roleWe have an opportunity for a CCR Supervisor to join our Technical Services Department, working a 12-hour continuous day/night roster (in accordance with current QAL practices). Your primary role is to ensure production is maintained at optimum levels safely, efficiently and without adverse effects on the environment.Underpinning every leadership role at QAL, our safe, stable and sustainable approach ensures our people remain safe and we achieve sustainable outcomes with zero impact on the environment.Your ability to communicate, engage and build trust with your team members and stakeholders and be a champion for change will see you leading successful teams that are fully enabled and capable to ensure efficient operation across site. Well-developed communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels is essential. This opportunity is suited to someone who has prior experience in Central Control Room and someone with a strong safety focus.Reporting directly to the Specialist Operations Controller, you will contribute to our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by:Creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing and coaching others to achieve together.Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with site health, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures.Continuously improving plant stability by the identification and elimination of deficiencies in process control systems.Developing strong relationships with operational, maintenance and technical teams across the site.What You Will BringTo be successfully considered for this role, you should have:The ability to successfully lead and work within a team environment and build effective working relationships.Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads whilst ensuring accuracy in the workplace.Willingness to lead, delegate and implement change, as well as influence and mentor others in safe working methods.A visible safety leader with a passion to influence safe working methods.The ability to communicate, engage and build trust with others.Working knowledge of the QAL Boilerhouse area would be advantageous.Practical experience with CCR Boilerhouse Control Panel would be well regarded.Creating an inclusive and diverse workforceWe are committed to an inclusive environment where people feel comfortable to be themselves.
