Your work helps make a difference, turning everyday shopping into something meaningful.If youre someone who thrives in an environment where no two days are the same, loves a bit of retail chaos (in the best way), and is passionate about animal welfare, this role is for you!Duties and Responsibilities:Manage, lead and develop a small team of staff and volunteers to the highest levels of performance, engagement and job satisfaction.Effectively manage the retail product area using visual merchandising strategies to drive sales and meet KPIs.Assist in the development and implementation of the annual retail promotion plan and budget.Oversee and contribute to effective stock management (i.e. order, price, inventory, invoice, stocktake) across RSPCA sites.Manage online store customer queries and fulfilment of online orders.Provide high quality customer service and assist in providing accurate and reliable information and expert product advice.Monitor the product range and ensure it meets local needs.Contribute to the improvement of processes and procedures to maximise efficiency and improve profitability and performance.Provide advice to staff and volunteers to ensure the effective management of their retail areas to increase foot traffic and sales.What we are looking for:Previous experience as a Store Manager.Basic knowledge of animal behaviour and handling.Strong merchandising and stock management experience, with experience managing an e-commerce store.Leadership skills, with a desire to support and mentor RSPCA Victoria staff and volunteers.Proven ability to maximise a retail product range to achieve sales targets (KPIs) and ensure continued growth of retail sales.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to build cooperative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, distributors, and our major sponsors.Excellent organisational, time management, problem solving skills and strong attention to detail.The ability to work a rotating roster including public holidays and weekends.Recruitment Requirements:A current Tetanus Vaccination or willingness to obtain.You will be required to undergo a National Police Check.A Certificate II in customer Service or equivalent high regarded but not required.What we can offer you:Encouraged work-life balance and a broad range of leave entitlements including RDOs, additional leave purchased leave, paid parental leave, study leave and paid family and domestic violence leave.Generous discount on products and services, including Royal Canin pet food, Hush Puppies footwear and RSPCA Victoria retail products.Recognised by Mental Health First Aid Australia, as a skilled workplace - Access to a range of mental health and wellbeing supportive initiatives.
