Youll manage a diverse caseload of clients, both in their homes and within the broader community, tailoring your support to each unique story and journey.A Day in Your Life as a Senior Neurological Liaison Nurse:Conduct nursing assessments and develop personalised care plans.Provide essential nursing services, including continence management, wound care, and palliative support.Provide assessment, advisory, educational and support services to people with neurological conditions and their families and/or carers.Co-ordinate and delegate internal nursing referrals, assessing workload and commitments of each MSWA Neurological Liaison Nurse.Enjoy a mix of office-based work and community travel, where your expertise will be needed across the regionfrom Mandurah in the south to Ellenbrook in the north. While we strive to keep you close to home, being open to travelling further afield is essential to provide the support our clients need.The Opportunity:Were offering a fixed-term (12-months) part-time position for a Senior Neurological Liaison Nurse, consisting of 67.5 hours per fortnight.Your primary base will be at our Wilson service centre, but you''ll play a crucial role in the community. To facilitate your travel, we provide pool cars, or you can use your own vehicletravel expenses will be reimbursed.What Were Looking For:Strong time management and prioritisation skills to handle a varied caseload.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.Compliance Essentials:Current registration with the Nurses Board of Western Australia (as an RN).Current First Aid and CPR certification.NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).Full C Class driving licence without restrictions.Working with children check.Desirable Experience:Experience in community nursing.Familiarity with neurological conditions and rehabilitation nursing.Knowledge of Disability Services Legislation and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.Background in palliative care, continence management, and wound care.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, alongside computer literacy.Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to quality improvement.And the benefits?As a not-for-profit organisation we are fortunate to be able to offer generous salary packaging options to all our employees.
